Wele Elangwe

Wele Elangwe is an accomplished equity/compliance officer, leadership professional and non-profit executive with domestic and international experience. Wele is currently Director of Graduate Student Services at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where she also serves as member of the Equity Compliance Board since 2016. Wele is also an Adjunct Professor of Aviation Law and Broadcast Law. She has served as foreign consultant for a legal project in Germany, analyzing the use of food additives in Cameroon. Wele has equally worked with the United Nations, and has a track record of delivering results, and providing durable solutions to often complex issues.

Wele has an LL.B. from the University of Buea, an LL.M. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a Ph.D. Organizational Leadership at University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. Wele has authored many publications on fundamental rights, agriculture law, labor law, food law and food safety transparency as well as leadership and gender equality.
